DASHING Terms.

By using dashing.media, submitting the Author Assessment, or signing up for any service, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

DASHING is an authority publishing house operated by Dashing Media LLC, New Mexico, USA. Dreams Magnet is an imprint of DASHING. We turn an author’s recorded voice into a published, distributed book, with a named editor.

2. The services

  1. Author Assessment. Free. It’s an assessment, not a commitment: the answer can be yes, no, or yes with conditions, and it creates no obligation to pay.
  2. Author packages. Published Author, Intelligent Author and Authority Author (together, «Authority Book»). The scope, price and conditions in your written proposal apply. Published prices may change; the price in your proposal is fixed for the period it states.
  3. Chapter Zero. One 60-minute session and, ten days later, the first chapter of your book, three cover concepts and the working thesis. Its price is credited in full toward a package if you sign one. If you don’t recognize yourself in the chapter, we stop there and the chapter is yours.
  4. Book + Keynote · Voice to Stage. Preparation of the keynote your book opens, as an add-on to a package. The Voice to Stage certificate is issued by DASHING and certifies that you prepared and rehearsed your keynote using its method; it is not a Neuro-Linguistic Programming certification and doesn’t qualify you to teach it.
  5. Production starts once the author agreement is signed and the first installment is paid.
  6. Your English-language book is edited by Daniel Mendoza, unless your proposal names another editor.

3. Prices and payment

  1. Prices are in US dollars. Any taxes that apply in your country are stated in your proposal before you sign.
  2. Payment is by link, through Stripe, in monthly installments at no extra cost: two for Published Author, four for Intelligent Author, six for Authority Author, two for Book + Keynote. Chapter Zero is paid in one installment.
  3. A late installment may pause production until it’s resolved. We tell you before pausing.
  4. Author copies are billed at printing, handling and shipping cost, except copies included in your package.

4. The author agreement

Before production, you sign a project-specific agreement with the scope, timeline, rights, assessment guarantee and exits. If the agreement and these terms conflict, the agreement prevails.

5. Ownership and rights

  1. Copyright in the manuscript, the book, the recordings and the transcripts is yours from creation.
  2. Your Amazon KDP and IngramSpark accounts are opened in your name; DASHING has delegated access during the process and returns it at the end.
  3. If the ISBN is assigned under DASHING’s imprint, you can ask for your own ISBN at no cost before publication.

6. Artificial intelligence

We use AI tools to transcribe, organize and help write on top of your interviews. No idea, fact or claim goes into your book unless you said it or approved it in writing. We declare your book to Amazon KDP under its current policies and keep a process record that supports that declaration.

7. What we don’t guarantee, and limits of liability

  1. We don’t guarantee sales, rankings on any platform, invitations to stages or media, or financial results.
  2. We don’t guarantee that any platform will accept, keep or display your book; each platform or bookseller decides that.
  3. To the extent the applicable law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
  4. We’re not responsible for failures of third parties outside our reasonable control.

8. Cancellations and refunds

The specific conditions are in each project’s agreement. In general: an assessment guarantee in Intelligent Author and Authority Author; a refund of work not yet done if you stop before the Architecture stage is approved; delivery of the work produced if you stop after it.

9. Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under a law that can’t be excluded by contract.

  • Australia. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. That includes the right to a remedy if a service isn’t provided with due care and skill, or isn’t fit for the purpose we agreed. These terms, including section 8 and the choice of New Mexico law, don’t limit those rights.
  • New Zealand. If you buy our services for the purposes of a business, you and DASHING agree, to the extent the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 allows, that it doesn’t apply, and that this agreement is fair and reasonable. If you buy them as a consumer, your rights under that Act are unaffected.

10. Content

We don’t work on content that promotes hatred, violence, discrimination or illegal activity, or on books whose main purpose is to defame others. We may decline or suspend a project for that reason, with a refund of work not yet done.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without limiting the mandatory consumer rights of your country. Disputes go to the competent courts of New Mexico, unless your law mandatorily requires a different forum.

12. Changes

Changes apply to future projects; a signed project is governed by the terms in force when it was signed, unless the law requires otherwise.
