You have the manuscript. The classic route, done right.

Who it’s for

It’s in a folder called «Book_final_v7.» You finished it fourteen months ago. You sent it to two people you trust, they said it was good, and there it stayed: between a printing quote you didn’t understand and a self-publishing package you didn’t trust. You don’t need someone to write it. You need someone with a name to read it, edit it, turn it into a book, and put it where books are bought.

What happens

  1. Reading. Your editor reads the full manuscript and tells you in writing what’s ready and what isn’t.
  2. Editing. Line editing and proofreading, with tracked changes: you see every intervention and decide.
  3. Publication. Original cover, interior layout, ISBN for print and ebook, upload to Amazon and the Ingram network, in accounts in your name.
  4. Work. A short plan: who to send the book to, with what message, and what to ask in return.

What you get

  • Your manuscript, edited with tracked changes.
  • An original cover, not a template: front, spine and back.
  • An interior laid out like a book, not like a printed document.
  • ISBN for print and ebook. Amazon and IngramSpark accounts in your name, with delegated access for DASHING during the process.
  • The final files, yours, forever.
  • A short plan for the book to work.

What’s not included

Rewriting structure or voice. If the editor concludes the manuscript needs that, you hear it in the reading, with Intelligent Author as the option, or a no. We never charge for editing that won't fix the book.

Price

$2,200 · two installments of $1,100 · up to 45,000 words · in weeks, not years; the date goes in the proposal.

Who’s with you

A named responsible editor: Daniel Mendoza, who signs your book’s copyright page and whom you meet before you start.

One question of its own

What if my manuscript isn't ready?

We tell you in the reading, in writing, without charging for the editing. Sometimes the answer is "it needs another route"; sometimes it's "not yet." Both are part of the service.

First, we read it.
